Amazon Shopping Assistant

This project features a chatbot assistant built with Streamlit, designed to serve as a recommendation engine for home and kitchen products on Amazon. It uses content-based filtering, leveraging Amazon reviews to suggest products tailored to user preferences. The assistant addresses the challenge of browsing countless products and reviews by streamlining the decision-making process—saving time and offering more relevant recommendations. The solution includes a Question-and-Answer model integrated with a large language model (LLM), enabling a conversational interface that enhances the shopping experience through intelligent, review-based suggestions.
St. Louis Crime Trends Analysis (2021-2023)
“This research empowers authorities in cities of all sizes to take proactive steps in improving safety and quality of life.”
The goal of this project is to analyze how crime has evolved over this period and answer key questions about its patterns. Specifically, the project will explore whether crime has increased or decreased, how it varies by season, and how different types of crime have changed over time. Additionally, the analysis will investigate if crime trends differ by time of day and identify the time of year with the least amount of crime. By examining these factors, the project aims to provide a clearer understanding of crime trends in St. Louis and reveal when crime is most concentrated throughout the year.
Lung Cancer Early Detection
“Helping people forecast the likelihood of developing lung cancer.”
To help people identify their likelihood of developing lung cancer based on a variety of factors including age, environment and health. This project analyzes a lung cancer dataset using classification, regression, and clustering. In this project we successfully completed the following:
- Identify clusters of patients based on risk factors using K-Means clustering
- Predict lung cancer diagnosis using classification
- Predict lung cancer diagnosis using logistic regression, Decision Tree , RandomForestClassifer
Remote Check Deposits
“If you have ever deposited a check into your banking account via your smartphone; you’re welcome.”
I helped to pioneer an early iteration of software that allows users to deposit checks remotely. Today, that software is licensed to most banks across the country. Most USAA Federal Savings Bank customers are active United States military members. Bank branches are not available to them. A solution was necessary to enable military personnel to remotely deposit their checks and pay their bills.
Colors & Song

Colors & Song is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that supplements the music curriculums in metro San Antonio high schools. The organization mentors talented musicians (14-18 years old) and trains them in skills like: song writing, music publishing, and other good business practices for artists in the music industry. I am responsible for managing all web and media projects for the organization.
Right Card
“If you have ever had trouble choosing the best credit card for yourself, this UI solution solves that problem”.
This mobile and desktop experience allows the user to easily select the best credit card to meet their needs. By answering a few simple questions, the user is shown the credit card with most appropriate features such as reward points, cash back, low interest rate, or credit builder.
Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS)
“If you are a United States military veteran with a DFAS account, you may now digitally move funds to and from your USAA bank account”.
USAA bank account holders can aggregate funds, direct deposit funds, transfer funds, and pay bills with their checking accounts. This mobile experience allows DFAS account holders to move money to and from their USAA checking accounts. The DFAS portal is heavily encrypted government accounting service with many security protocols.
